A cake smash session is such a joyful (and messy!) way to mark this special time, and in Dubai, we’re lucky to have so many beautiful options for making it extra memorable.

Where to Do a Cake Smash in Dubai


You don’t need a big studio setup to make magic. Some of my favorite cake smash locations include:

•     Outdoors — Think golden light, soft sand, and desert breeze. Al Qudra Desert is a beautiful and easy-to-reach option that gives us plenty of space and light.

• At Home — Perfect for little ones who feel most comfortable in their familiar space. We can create a cozy setup using natural light near windows or in your baby’s nursery.

•     Daylight Studios — If you want something clean, minimal, and weather-proof, a bright indoor space can work beautifully. I can help recommend a few in Dubai that I’ve worked in before.


Each of these setups can be styled simply or dressed up depending on your preferences — a few balloons, a textured backdrop, or even just a natural, minimalist look. It’s all about what fits your baby and your family best.

What to Expect and How to Prepare


Cake smash shoots are light-hearted and relaxed — we follow your baby’s pace and comfort level. I always recommend bringing a simple cake (avoid dark colors and red frosting!) and an extra outfit. Some babies love digging into the cake, while others might prefer gentle exploration. Either way, we capture their authentic personality.


For outdoor sessions, I’ll guide you on the best timing — usually early morning or golden hour for that perfect soft light. If you’re doing it indoors or at home, natural light and a neutral setting help keep the focus on your little one.


Alongside your photo gallery, I also offer a short video taken on my camera, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, little movements, giggles, and cake-covered fingers. It’s a heartfelt keepsake that brings the day to life in a way still images can’t. This video is included in your session at no extra cost — something unique I love offering to families, and a detail many of my clients are surprised (and touched) by.
